Fire, Theft and Vandalism (FTV) coverage is NOT insurance. FTV coverage relieves the renter of liability for loss due to fire or natural disaster. It also covers theft and vandalism from an outside source if the renter has taken precautions to secure the equipment. FTV coverage does not cover loss or damage from misuse, abuse or intentional damage. While the equipment is on rent to a customer, it is the customer's responsibility to lubricate, check air filter, oil level and all other maintenance requirements to the rented equipment. FTV coverage will not cover damage resulting from lack of general maintenance. When utilizing FTV coverage, deductibles and rental fees may still apply. See the contract for details.
Target Equipment must receive a certificate of insurance naming Target Equipment LLC as an additional insured in order to avoid FTV charges. The certificate a general liability policy having a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence, plus inland marine or rental equipment coverage with limits of not less than $500,000 listed on the certificate..
